Stamford Schools offer a comprehensive and well‑structured swimming pathway that begins in Year 4 and grows into a high‑performance environment by the Senior School years. With up to six sessions per week available to older swimmers, the programme supports everyone from developing athletes to those competing at the highest levels.

Club Linked

Following the closure of their home pool in 2021, Deepings SC relocated to Stamford and now use the Schools’ 25m pool as their training base. The club and school share coaching expertise, creating a seamless pathway for swimmers to progress into competitive squads. A growing cohort of Stamford swimmers now compete in Open Meets as well as County and Regional Championships.

Performance Highlights:

  • A Stamford student selected for Team GB at the Paris Paralympic Games
  • National medal‑winning swimmers and regular representation at County, Regional, and National competitions
  • Development of three England Water Polo players from within the school
  • A highly experienced coaching team, including an England Water Polo Coach and national‑level swim coaches
